Sharing Pedigrees on External Websites

Including pedigrees on your site can be a tricky thing to do. There's a lot of information to display and often a limited amount of space to do it in. People use many methods to incorporate pedigrees into their sites, including taking images of pedigree certificates or just linking directly to pedigree databases like ours. These methods often aren't readable, take up too much space or send your sites visitors to another website.

There's a better way to do it and best of all, it's free. It's possible to embed a pedigree from our site into yours without having to deal with all the complex formating and layout issues involved. This method creates a clean chart displaying 3, 4, or 5 generation pedigrees directly into your web page.

Embedded Pedigree

To see this in action, check out some examples of breeders who've used Pedigree Online's embed tool on their sites to enhance their web sites:

The process is fairly simple. Simply add your dog to our database and once the information is complete, you can use the share tool provided on each pedigree report to get a small snippet of code to include on your web pages. It only takes a few minutes and you'll have control over how the pedigrees look and feel on your site.
